New Survey Reveals Over 80% of U.S. Companies Building Net-Zero Programs Ahead of Legislation

EcoOnline’s latest survey reveals a significant shift in corporate America’s approach to climate action, with over 80% of companies proactively building net-zero programs—without waiting for legislation. This marks a departure from reactive compliance, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability. Survey insights reveal that 73% of respondents see sustainability as a path to revenue growth, and 94% believe it enhances brand value. Businesses that integrate sustainability into their core values and operations can future-proof against evolving market trends and regulations. The survey highlights that 40% of companies have their CEOs or boards taking the lead in sustainability efforts. However, while 85% plan to increase sustainability budgets, only 25% have these budgets fully funded and prioritized by the C-Suite and board.
